Ken Briggs was established in 1952 when Ken Briggs senior began rearing chickens at home as a hobby, the meat was then sold on local markets.

In 1992 Ken Briggs Junior took over the company when he passed his driving test and focused the business on the wholesale market. By 2015 Ken had eight vehicles delivering within the East Midlands area and was producing on a larger scale in the new Peckmill address. In 2023 Ken Briggs was acquired by the Gressingham Group to strengthen Gressingham’s offering in wholesale meat distribution.

Ken Briggs has fresh storage of approximately 100 pallets, and frozen storage of approximately 50 pallets. There are 10 members on the team who are qualified in fork lift driving, hygiene, health and safety and first aid.
